During their most active months, Southern copperheads eat one single meal every three weeks. During this time, copperheads sometimes nest with other snake species. There are many people who prefer mothballs and they think that these mothballs are perfect snake repellents. Natural snake repellents come in the form of essential oils such as marigold essential oil, peppermint essential oil, cinnamon essential oil, etc. Different copperheads eat different types of foods so in order to get rid of them you need to remove all of their food sources.
Copperheads have pale brown to pinkish-brown dorsal and ventral scales, which are marked by alternating copper to reddish-brown hourglass shapes. Remove other pests
In rare cases, they might climb partway up a bush or tree in search of food, but they don’t have the same skills as constrictors and other similar snakes. Young copperheads prefer to eat caterpillars and other insects, using their yellow tails as a lure. You may not know that many types of plants can repel snakes.
